The Dhaka Times Desk The Department of Drug Administration has canceled the registration of 51 drugs manufactured by several companies. People are requested not to buy these medicines.
The Department of Drug Administration has banned 51 drugs from several drug companies, including reputed drug companies of the country. 51 drugs manufactured by several companies including Renata, Square Pharmaceuticals, Beximco, Opsonin, The Ibn Sina have canceled their registrations.
Production, purchase, sale, distribution, stocking and display of 51 banned drugs of paracetamol, pioglitazone and rosiglitazone group have been completely banned. The public is specifically requested not to use these medicines. Director General of the Directorate and Licensing Authority (Drugs) Major General Md. Mostafizur Rahman confirmed this information.

Square Pharmaceuticals: Ace Soft Tablet, Tos-30 Tablet, Tos-45 Tablet, Sensulin 2 Tablet
Beximco Pharma: Napasoft Tablet, Pioglit 30 Tablet, Pioglit 45 Tablet
Drug International: Fivimet Tablets, Pyogena 30 Tablets, Romerol 2 Tablets, Romerol 4 Tablets
The Acme Laboratories: Fast-M Tablet.

It should be noted that the registration of these drugs was canceled in the 244th meeting of the Drug Control Committee recently. The concerned company authorities have been instructed to withdraw these drugs from the market through their own channels and inform the department along with the amount thereof. Also, production, sale, distribution, storage and display of deregistered drugs are completely prohibited.
