This historic Pagla mosque is about two and a half years old mosque among the famous places of ancient and modern architecture of the country's Muslim tradition.
The five-storied minaret of the mosque can be seen from far away. The building of Pagla Masjid is very beautiful and the construction style is also very nice. Pagla Masjid, built in modern architectural style, is famous for its various historical and scenic structures.
There is a legend about the mosque that a mad spiritual man floated in the middle of river Narsunda to get a mat and settled near the present mosque. Many devotees gathered around him. After the death of that madman, this mosque was built next to his tomb. Due to which, over time, the mosque came to be known as 'Mad Mosque'.
This mosque is considered as a very sacred religious place not only for the followers of Islam but also for all the followers of Greater Mymensingh and its surrounding areas. It is a deep-rooted belief of people that whoever donates to this mosque with a sincere intention, his wish will be fulfilled. That's why common people donate a lot to this mad mosque based on such belief.
