The Dhaka Times Desk There is no end to people's worries about cancer. And so researchers do not stop. They managed to figure out how to transform cancer cells into normal cells!
As a result of this research, cancer cells are changing normal cells! In this, it is believed that there will be a revolution in cancer treatment in the future.
According to media reports, cancer cells are like normal cells in the body. However, cancer cells grow or divide uncontrollably. Many of us know that, like other animals, the human body is made up of numerous small cells. These cells die after a certain period of time and the old cells are replaced by new cells. These cells divide again in a controlled and regular manner to give rise to new cells.
In the case of cancer or cancer, the body cells divide uncontrollably. That is why lumps of flesh or wheels are often seen under the skin. This is called a tumor.
Researchers at the famous Mayo Clinic in the US have been able to transform cancer cells into normal cells after long research. Breast and bladder cancer cells have been used in the laboratory for this purpose. The research team had to make relatively simple interventions at the cellular level to make this transition during the study. And they found that the cancer cells began to behave like normal cells again. This means that cancer cells have changed the body's normal cells!
Researchers found that microRNAs regulate the division or growth of body cells. Instructs cells to produce a protein called PLAKAA7. Cell division essentially stops when the right amount of protein is produced.
Researchers say, cancer cells do not have this protein in the right amount. After the researchers injected the micro RNAs into the cancer cells, they saw that the cancer cells were producing this protein in the right amount. Also, the abnormal division of cancer cells is stopped. The content of this research is published in Nature Cell Biology.
Tehran Radio News quoted the report as saying that there is still a long way to go before this method can be used in cancer treatment. However, researchers believe that never before has there been so much hope in curing cancer.
