The Dhaka Times Desk Bangladeshi short film 'Nagrik' invited to Kolkata Film Festival. The film has been selected to be screened in the Short and Documentary categories at the festival.
The 21st Kolkata International Film Festival will be held from 14-21 November in Kolkata, West Bengal at 12 venues. The festival will screen 149 films by 137 filmmakers from 61 countries.
Khandkar Md Zakir, a post graduate student of Dhaka University's Department of Television and Film Studies, produced the short film 'Nagrik' as his graduation film.
The director of the film said, 'The content of the film is based on the contemporary political reality of Bangladesh. The film portrays the fear and panic of the people during the political unrest in third world countries.'
It is known that Ashif acted in the 13 minutes and 13 seconds long movie 'Nagarik' based on the short story 'Ghatnar Andale Aghatanam' written by Entaz Ravi - Sultana Dina, Kazi Faisal, Shihab Shawon, Sadman Rihan, Zayed Julhas, Ahmed Tawkir, Sheikh Zahid Azim and many others.
