The picture you are looking at is Dakshin Pathalia Historical 201 Dome Mosque in Gopalpur Upazila of Tangail District. This mosque is under construction.
This 201 dome mosque will have the highest number of domes in the world and a 451 feet high minaret. It is believed that it is going to be written in the Guinness Book of Records by creating a world record. Not only this, the house of Allah, this historical building will play a role in making Bangladesh known to the world. Because many foreign tourists and even Oli Auliyas are expected to arrive.
The mosque is being built on the initiative of the brave freedom fighter Rafiqul Islam Welfare Trust. 271 percent of the mosques under construction have already been completed 75%. However, Eid prayers have started in the mosque while it is still under construction.
This mosque will have 201 domes. No mosque with so many domes has ever been built in the history of the world.
This 201-domed mosque under construction will have all modern facilities. About 15,000 worshipers can pray together in this mosque.
The entire Holy Quran will be engraved on the west wall of this mosque. And the main door of the mosque will be used 50 brass!
Bangladesh's tallest minaret will be built next to the mosque to preach adhan. In terms of height, the minaret will be approximately 57 floors high, ie 451 feet!
A separate building will be constructed next to this mosque. Those buildings will have free hospitals, orphanages, old age homes for destitute women, destitute freedom fighters and their families for rehabilitation. There will be post bungalows and catering facilities for the pilgrims coming from far and wide. The construction cost of this mosque is estimated to be around 100 crore rupees.
As expected by the builders, this mosque will stand as a symbol of unique features as an artistic structure. Already under construction, the mosque has managed to attract the attention of local and foreign tourists.
The construction of this mosque started in January 2013. The foundation stone was laid by Rizia Khatun, mother of the founder chairman of Rafiqul Islam Welfare Trust.
The mosque is expected to be formally inaugurated in early 2017 with the presence and imamate of the Imam of the Holy Kaaba Sharif.
