The Dhaka Times Desk India reached the final after defeating Sri Lanka by 5 wickets in the Asia Cup. India won the Asia Cup very easily against last time champions Sri Lanka.
India won the toss and invited Sri Lanka to bat in the seventh match of the tournament. Sri Lanka collected 138 runs after losing 9 wickets at the end of scheduled 20 overs.
In response, India went down to bat in the second half and won easily by 5 wickets. Virat Kohli scored the highest runs for India. This batsman played a great innings of 56 runs off 47 balls. On the other hand, Kapugedara scored the maximum 30 runs for Sri Lanka.
Virat Kohli was selected as Man of the Match.
