The picture you are looking at is a picture of Jinn Mosque in Lakshmipur. This mosque is located in the vast grasslands of Raipur upazila of Lakshmipur district, the estuary of the Meghna and Kharsrota Dakatiya rivers.
According to locals, this mosque was established in 1688. This famous mosque with 110 feet length and 70 feet width and 10 feet height from the ground with 3 domes was established exactly on the model of Delhi's Shahi Jame Masjid.
One of the most interesting aspects of this mosque is that there is a 3-room secret prayer hall 20 feet below the mosque. Maulana Abdullah used to sit there in solitude and meditate on Allah. The height of the tower of the mosque is 15 feet. You have to climb 13 steps to enter this mosque. The width of the wall is 8 feet. The dilapidated minaret in front of the mosque is about 25 feet high.
It is said that some of the jinn disciples of Maulana Abdullah used to complete the construction of the mosque in the wee hours of the night. So this historical mosque is named Jinn Mosque.
The locals still say that the jinn used to bathe in the ponds set up under the mosque, they used to pray regularly in this mosque and perform Zikir-Azkar-Ibadat. It is said that even late at night the sound of zikir could be heard far and wide.
This historic Jinn Mosque is situated 8/900 yards east of Raipur Municipal Town in Lakshipur District on the south of Pir Faiz Ullah Road.
