Good news for car lovers - flying cars are coming to the market!

The Dhaka Times DeskAmerican aerospace company Terrafugia has been planning to build a flying car for a long time. After a long wait, they have revealed the design of the new flying car named 'TF-X'. The said car will be marketed within the next two years. Earlier, however, they developed a flying car called 'Transition' which can fly on the road as well as in the sky as needed.

According to Terrafugia, the TF-X will be a four-seater and will have a plug-in hybrid system under the hood. It can run in two modes: drive on the road like a normal car and fly in the sky like an airplane. The speed of the new model will be higher than the transition while flying in the sky. It will not require a separate runway.

The TF-X can take off from a stationary position like a helicopter – the landing method is a vertical takeoff and landing. The TF-X will be able to fly through the air at speeds of up to 200 miles per hour, using the same technology as the Marine V-22 Osprey.

Terrafugia business development officer Richard Gers said in this context, it is time to reveal our future goals. No separate aviation training is required to drive this vehicle. General driving and computer skills are required for driving. By giving instructions to the car in automatic mode, it will start moving in a certain direction and the whole thing will be controlled by the car's computer.

The TF-X car will be powered by an electric motor and a gasoline engine. The company will bring two hundred and seventy-nine thousand dollars worth of flying cars to the market by 2015. Car lovers will have to wait till then.
