The Dhaka Times Desk SSC and equivalent results will be released on Wednesday, May 11. Today (Monday) May 2 Education Secretary Md. Sohrab Hossain gave this information to the media.
Earlier, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Sub-Committee sent a proposal to the Prime Minister seeking May 10 or 11 to release the results through the Education Ministry. As the Prime Minister gave time on May 11, it is said that the result release date has been decided on that day.
The Education Secretary said, 'Prime Minister has given time on May 11 to publish the results of SSC and equivalent exams. We will hold a press conference by 1 pm on that day and announce the results officially. Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid is currently abroad. A press conference will be scheduled when he returns home.
As per the rules of every year, on the morning of the result release, the education minister along with the board chairmen will hand over the results to the prime minister. After noon, the education minister will hold a press conference at the secretariat and officially announce the results.
Note that on February 1, the SSC and equivalent exams began across the country. The theoretical or written exam ends on March 10. The results are declared within 60 days of the completion of SSC and HSC exams.
This time 16 lakh 51 thousand 523 students participated in the secondary examination. 13 lakh 4 thousand 274 students appeared in SSC under 8 boards, on the other hand 2 lakh 48 thousand 865 students appeared under Madrasa Board and 98 thousand 384 students appeared in SSC Vocational (Technical) examination. This year students of 28 thousand 119 educational institutions participated in the examination in 3 thousand 143 centers.
