Two lions were shot dead to save humans

The Dhaka Times Desk Two lions have been shot dead by zookeepers inside Chile's Santiago National Zoo. This is done to save people from lions.

In the afternoon, a mentally deranged man entered the lion's enclosure in an attempt to commit suicide. The maintenance personnel fired to save him.

According to local media reports, the 20-year-old man, Franco Louis Fereda, first climbed into the lion's cage and climbed onto the roof, then got naked and confronted the lion. Outside then, there was a chatter of surprised and excited people. As soon as the lions surrounded the two men and tried to paw them, the zookeepers fired the anesthetic shot, but unfortunately it hit the man's throat instead of the lions.

Sensing the danger as there was no way out, the lead bullet was quickly thrown at the lion. The two lions were immediately killed. Franco Lui was later rushed to hospital with serious injuries to his head and lower body.

After this incident of last Saturday came to light, the social media started uproar. Most people are blaming the zoo staff for killing the two lions. This method did not seem acceptable to the common people. Most Chileans believe that the problem could have been solved without killing the lion.
