The work of 'American Dream' has been stopped due to allegations of shooting pornographic scenes!

The Dhaka Times Desk The shooting of the movie 'American Dream' has been stopped. Bangladesh Film Directors Association has recently issued a stop work order through a legal notice for allegedly shooting obscene scenes.

Obscenity is almost non-existent in Bangladeshi films. Amavasya came to the domestic film because it was covered with obscenity. In such a situation obscenity has almost disappeared from the country's films due to strict attitude of directors' association and some tasteful film making and commercial success in recent times. But suddenly the obscenity rose again.

One such incident happened after a long time recently there were complaints about the shooting of some scenes of the movie 'The American Dream'.

The film is directed by expatriate filmmaker Jasim Uddin. The Bangladesh Film Directors Association has recently issued a legal notice and issued a stop work order for this film, alleging that there were obscene scenes during the shooting.

Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar, secretary general of the association, said that the crew of the film complained about the fact that several objectionable scenes were captured during the shooting of the film. They even showed us still pictures as proof. Not only that, the film denigrated women's society and during the shooting of the film there were incidents like fights in Curzon Hall of Dhaka University. It was announced to stop the work of the film. Simon, Irene, Sanjeeda Tanmoy and many others are acting in the film 'The American Dream'.

The film's actress Irene said in this context, 'I was asked to wear a western dress while filming the village background. When I objected to this, the director said that it will be in the fantasy scene. I have learned that the vulgar part was not in my case, but it was in the case of other performers.'

Secretary General of Bangladesh Film Directors Association Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar also said that filmmaker Jasim Uddin started shooting the film without taking membership of the association. He also took the exam for membership. However, he could not give a satisfactory answer to any question. So he was not given membership of the association.
