It has been reported that around 20 foreigners are among those held hostage at the Holy Artisan Bakery in Gulshan. It is known that 8 to 10 youths rushed into Artizan at around 9:30 pm. One of them had a sword, the rest had a firearm. On entering they fired a few shots and shouted Allahu Akbar. At that time there were about 20 foreign nationals inside.
According to the latest news, at 10:35 p.m., gunmen exploded two bombs in succession and fired several shots. At this time, the members of the law and order forces including the RAB-police surrounded all around ran to a safe distance.
At quarter past 11, the sound of gunfire was heard again. Shortly before that, after rescuing some injured policemen including Banani police officer-in-charge Salahuddin, they are said to have been taken to the hospital. The situation is still bad.
