The Dhaka Times Desk Today is the fourth death anniversary of celebrated fiction writer Humayun Ahmed. Suffering from incurable cancer, this popular personality passed away on July 19, 2012.
On the occasion of his death anniversary, Korankhani and doar mahfil is being held at Nuhash village of Gazipur, near Dhaka, his most favorite place. Humayun Ahmed's wife actress and producer Meher Afroz Shaon informed the news media.
Meher Afroz Shaon said, but this time there is some difference. About 500 children and teenagers from orphanages in Gazipur area are participating in this prayer ceremony. Shaun said just like this, 'On this day, after the Baad Zohar Dua-Mahfil, we will remember Humayun and all the orphans present will be entertained with Humayun's favorite food. He might be the happiest on the other side. '
Shaon also said that Humayun Ahmed used to feed his favorite food to the orphans with his own hands even when he organized prayers for his father. I want to do this work now.
He said that Humayun Ahmed's favorite food is white rice, beef, Maskalai dal and Phirni in the food menu on this day.
Meher Afroz Shaon expects the presence of friends, relatives, fans and critics of Humayun Ahmed in the commemoration ceremony.
Humayun Ahmed was born on 13 November 1948 in Kendua of Netrakona district. Father Faizur Rahman Ahmed was a police officer. He was martyred in the liberation war. Mother's name is Ayesha Faiz. He started his career as a teacher in the chemistry department of Dhaka University. Although he did not stay here. He left teaching with the dream of becoming a 'writer' only.
