Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 disappeared in March 2014 with 239 people on board. After searching for more than two years, no trace of the wreckage of the plane was found. After so long, the agency in charge of searching for the plane has said that the search has actually been conducted in the wrong place for so long.

On March 8, 2014, Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 took off from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, the capital of China. An hour after takeoff, the plane lost radar contact over Vietnam and disappeared. After the disappearance, various countries including Malaysia, Australia, China, Vietnam, Indonesia started searching for the whereabouts of the wreckage. Still the plane was not found. Parts of the broken wing of flight MH370 were once said to have washed ashore in the East African country of Mozambique.

For more than two years, a company called Fugro has been searching for the plane across 12 lakh square kilometers of the Indian Ocean. That would be roughly the size of Greece. Despite all this, no results were found. The agency said the plane may have crashed somewhere else. The agency told Reuters that they had been looking in the wrong place for so long. They are also considering ending the search for MH370 soon.

The governments of three countries, Malaysia, China and Australia, spent 137 million dollars to find the wreckage of the missing Malaysian Airlines plane, which is an unprecedented event!
