3 thousand goats sacrificed for rain in Tamil Nadu, India!

The Dhaka Times Desk A village in Tamil Nadu has recently experienced drought despite outbreaks of floods in various parts of India. That is why 3 thousand goats have been prepared for the rain in a temple!

According to the news of India Times, due to the drought, the situation there has become increasingly dire. So the two temples there organized huge sacrifices.

It is known that once every two years this event is done in that village. Food is provided for 50 thousand people here.

A servant of the temple said, 'Whenever something bad happens between us, we organize this festival. We depend mainly on rain. If there is no rain, our crops are severely damaged. In the last 4 years, this village has never experienced torrential rain.'

The person further said, 'For the past one year we were thinking of doing this puja but we waited till this season. We believe that worship in this month will be most fruitful. We will complete this special pooja for the rain god.'

From last Thursday night, people from different areas are coming and participating in the event here. About 50 thousand people have joined this event. They have arranged various shops here. It is also said that they will sacrifice 3 thousand goats to please the god.
