The Dhaka Times Desk The world's 'biggest plane' has now flown in the sky. The largest aircraft took off from England's Cardington Airport on Wednesday.

The plane is 302 feet long and is a part of the Airlander Ten. The aircraft can fly at a speed of 148 kilometers per hour at an altitude of 4,880 meters. After filling up with helium, it can stay in the sky for more than two weeks unmanned and five days manned.
Hybrid Air Vehicles (HAV), the manufacturer of this huge aircraft, said that the aircraft can be used in the commercial sector as a freighter. The company claims the Airlander is the largest airship in operation today. The British government has also given assistance of 25 million pounds to this project. Its maiden flight attempt failed on Sunday due to technical problems. After fixing that problem, it was in the air for 30 minutes on its first day of flight on Wednesday.
HAV CEO McGlennan said the aircraft is less expensive and environmentally friendly than helicopter technology. He said that it was a British invention. It is a mix of airplanes and aircraft, it also has helicopter facilities. It has parts similar to a typical winged aircraft, as well as helicopter-like technology and aircraft technology. This vehicle was developed as a reconnaissance aircraft for the US Army. Due to budget cuts, the US military's spy plane development project was shut down.
