A woman cut her hands and feet for insurance money!

The Dhaka Times Desk A woman in Vietnam amputated her arm and leg with a friend to get a large amount of insurance money!

Vietnam's state media published such a news. The news, without mentioning the woman's name, said that last May, the woman was admitted to a hospital in the capital Hanoi with one-third of her left leg and left arm amputated. The doctors informed him that it is not possible for them to reattach the severed limbs.

The 30-year-old woman told police she was hit by the train while walking on the tracks. His friend Duane Van D rescued him and admitted him to the hospital.

The woman later claimed USD 130,000 from the insurance company citing the loss of limbs in the accident. In Vietnam this is a huge amount of money. Because, there, one's monthly income is not more than 2 thousand 100 US dollars. After the woman claimed the insurance money, the concerned insurance authorities became suspicious about the matter.

Hanoi police declined to comment on the incident to the media. However, according to the local newspaper sources, the woman offered to pay two thousand US dollars to her friend for such a terrible deed. Now the police are looking into how to charge the woman with such a conspiracy.

A police officer said, this incident is a warning message to others. No one should harm their own limb to obtain insurance money through fraud. However, such an incident has never been reported in Vietnam before.
