The Dhaka Times Desk A lawsuit has been filed against the US newspaper Daily Mail and a blogger for calling Melania, the wife of Republican Party candidate Donald Trump a sex worker in the upcoming US presidential election.
According to media reports, Melania Trump's lawyer, Charles Harder, has filed this lawsuit seeking $150 million in damages.
About the case, Harder said the Daily Mail and a blogger claimed Melania worked as a sex worker in the 1990s.
The Daily Mail report was published last Thursday. The report noted that in 1990, Melania worked as a part-time 'escort' (sex worker). He met Donald Trump through that work.
On the other hand, blogger Webster Turpley wrote that Melania was always afraid that her past would be revealed.
Melania's lawyer, Charles Harder, said the Daily Mail and blogger Webster's claims were 'absolutely false'. The press and that blogger have made some statements about Melania Trump that are 100% wrong. Melania's personal and professional life has suffered due to such statements. The amount of damage is 15 million US dollars.
Notably, 46-year-old Melania came to the United States from Slovenia in 1990. He was working as a model then. Then in 2005 she married Donald Trump.
