The Dhaka Times Desk Today is celebrating the holy Eid-ul-Azha i.e. Eid of Sacrifice. One of the two major Muslim festivals is celebrated today with animal sacrifice. After offering two rakats of obligatory prayers, the day begins with animal sacrifice.

The holy Eid-ul-Azha is being celebrated across the country with due religious solemnity. In the morning after praying in the mosque and Eidgah, animal sacrifice will be done back home. Then the distribution of the sacrificial meat will begin among the poor and the relatives. And this is how the mood of today's Qurbani Eid will end. However, according to the religious tradition, Eid al-Adha can be observed for two and a half days. That is, sacrifice can be made today, tomorrow and the day after noon. However, most people sacrifice on the first day of Eid. Because no other day is as happy as the first day.
Animal sacrifice is a glory of the great creator. Hazrat Ishmael (A.S.) set the example that day when he sacrificed his son on the command of Allah, then the great Rabbul Alamin created the custom of animal sacrifice. For which billions of Muslims around the world sacrifice animals on this day of Eid-ul-Azhar. Cows, goats, sheep, camels and dumbas are sacrificed. However, since it is almost difficult to get camels and camels in our country, cows and goats are mainly sacrificed in our country.
At the end of the sacrifice, when the meat is prepared, it is measured and distributed. According to the rules of Shariat, a cow or a camel can be divided into 7 parts and a goat, sheep or lamb can be sacrificed.
The sacrificed camel should be 5 years old. And in the case of cows, 2 years and in the case of goats, sheep or lambs, 1 year should be completed. Then it is permissible to sacrifice them. Moreover, there are rules to sacrifice healthy animals. Sacrificial animals should not have any small parts. That is, no lame animal can be sacrificed.
