19-year-old Acid winner Reshma walked the ramp for the first time in New York last Thursday. Reshma walked the ramp wearing Indian designer Archana Kochhar. Besides, Reshma is also supposed to walk in the show of Vasai Cuter.
According to media reports, in 2014, Reshma Dulabhai splashed sulfuric acid on her body. His left eye was permanently damaged. Also, the left side of his face is deformed. After the acid attack, the model has been working with a non-profit organization called 'Make Love Not Scares'. The organization provides rehabilitation for acid burn victims.
The company posted an emotional video last month. It shows how an acid-burnt Reshma expresses her feelings after hearing the news of her participation in New York Fashion Week.
Acid-burned Reshma came to the attention of production company FTL Moda through the TakeBackBeauty campaign.
Reshma said, 'I have come to New York for the first time, I am very excited. I think everyone should know how acid burns survive. Also they should be given the opportunity to lead a normal life.'
