He said, I have heard that many people have taken survey about cows. This is very bad taste. They are playing a dirty game. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said this last Monday in Navanna. Greeting the people of the state on Eid, the Chief Minister also said in the meeting, do not step into any kind of incitement. Religion is in everyone's life.
Mamata Banerjee said, we respect every religion. Adivasis, Christians eat beef. It is also eaten in many European countries. Many people eat fish, eat duck, eat eggs and also eat chicken. He will eat whatever he eats. Whoever likes it. It is a matter of personal taste. Many people love to eat vegetables.
Referring to Jagdish Chandra Bose, Mamata Banerjee said, he said that even trees have life. The Chief Minister's comment is, then Patal is alive too. Then he mentioned Sri Ramakrishnadev, Swami Vivekananda, Nazrul. He said, they followed and respected all the religions of India.
Mamata Banerjee said, we also respect all religions. I sit on this chair and say to you with folded hands, all religions are equal to us, whose religion is his to him. They will practice religion that way. Religion is in the soul, in the mind, in the heart. He asks, the survey is going on with cows! What is going on? Will it be decided by someone else what I should eat or not?
