The Dhaka Times Desk This first ever animation full-length film Detective in the history of Bangladesh is releasing on the upcoming Victory Day. It was voiced by Nusrat Faria.
Apart from Nusrat Faria, Arifin Shuvo and Shahriaz are going to give voice to two other main characters in the film. Abdul Aziz, the leader of the film's production company Jazz Multimedia, thinks that this is a part of the history of making an animation film for the first time in Bangladesh. The release of the film has been announced through a program at the Dhaka Club.
The main story of this film is taken from 'Detective' by poet Rabindranath Tagore. This film is directed, edited and animated by Tapan Ahmed. Shuvo as Mahimchandra and Faria as Shailbala are dubbing in the film. And the voice of Aliraj as Barababu and Shahriaz as Manmath will be heard.
Nusrat Faria said about this, 'Everyone thought I was a westerner by my speech and clothes. However, I have not had much opportunity to prove that I have read a lot of literature or that I am Bengali by heart. I was able to change that idea by joining this work written by Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore. Moreover, the audience has seen us on the screen for so long. This time the audience will only hear our voice. This looks good to me. I hope everyone will accept this film well.'
Abdul Aziz, CEO of Jazz Multimedia also said, 'Our main objective is to take the story of Rabindranath Tagore to the children and teenagers of this generation. But we have done it from the point of view that the film is liked by all kinds of viewers. Basically want to check the animation film market in Bangladesh. In our opinion, it will be possible to run more big budget animated films in Bangladesh in the future. I think there are many talented children in our country who will do very good animation.'
