See how the disease spreads ATM!

At present, ATM booths have become the only means of withdrawing money. But experts have cautioned against using ATM machines. The reason is that various diseases including sexually transmitted diseases are spreading from these ATM machines.

A recent study revealed such information. Indian news media Deccan Chronicle has recently published a news with reference to a US research magazine called 'Emsphere'.

It was reported in the news that this terrible information was found after conducting research on ATM users in different states of the United States.

The research team found samples of the parasite in the lower body and genitals of humans and other mammals on the ATM keypad. Another parasite of the genus 'Trichomonas vaginalis', which infects the genitals of the human body, is found in the key pad of the ATM!

The key pad of the ATM machine is full of germs, researchers said. The presence of these two types of parasites in those microbes can be dire for customers going to withdraw money. Because sexually transmitted diseases are spread by these two parasites.

Not washing hands after using an ATM can also be dangerous. Because these parasites cause more infections through food.

This research was conducted on the germ samples found on the keypads of 66 ATM machines in Manhattan, Queens and Brooklyn in June and July 2014. The head of that research group was Professor Jane Carlton of New York University.

Prof. Carlton told the media that the study showed that ATM keypads are actually a breeding ground for germs. Germs come from various sources and nest on this ATM keypad. The main reasons for nesting there are their carriers, i.e. ease of human contact and air-conditioned favorable environment. Because of this, airborne or animal-borne germs easily settle on the keyboard and are quickly transferred to different bodies through the conveyor.

According to Professor Carlton, germs and parasites are collected from the key pad of the ATM using a special method and their DNA is separated. Then the research began. It can be seen that the germs present in television, drawing room sofa-pillows, kitchen dirt, snails and chickens, spoiled milk-yogurt and eggs are also found in the ATM keypad!

Researchers have said that germs enter our body in different ways during the day. Like someone eats food or grabs something old and rotten. From there the germs were transferred to his hands.

Then when he goes to withdraw money from the ATM machine, germs easily transfer from his hand to the machine's key pad. Then when another user puts his hand on that key pad, the germs then enter his body.

Professor Jane Carlton also said, "Our results show that germs on ATM keypads come from different sources. It also transfers very quickly. The main reason is the carelessness of people. We wash our hands immediately after touching something dirty for fear of germs. But because we don't know about germs in ATM, we don't think about cleaning our hands after using it. Due to which germs are infected very quickly. That is, from now on, after using the ATM, you must wash your hands with disinfectant.
