The oldest manuscript of the Holy Qur'an, the holy book of Muslims, was found at the University of Birmingham in the UK last year. The discovery of the 'first Qur'an' caused an uproar around the world at that time. This time, Azerbaijani artist Tunzale Mehmedzade made history by writing the Quran in gold letters.

He wrote the Quran with gold and silver on 164 feet of transparent black silk. It took him about 3 years. The 33-year-old artist said that this is the first time that the Quran was written in gold letters on silk.

11.4 feet in length and 13 feet in width, the letters of this Quran are written in gold and silver. Each letter is handwritten by Tunzale Mehmedzadeh. The art of Islam is displayed on every page of that Quran. The first edition of the Quran written in gold letters was published by the Diyanet of the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Turkey.
