The Dhaka Times Desk A tiny moth has been named after US President-elect Donald Trump because of its special 'hairstyle'!
The insect named Neopalpa Donald Trumpi was discovered in California by a Canadian researcher Vajrik Nazari.
The reason for this name is that the moth has golden scales on its head that look a lot like Donald Trump's much talked about hair. It is not yet known what Trump thinks of the honor.
The length of the fins of this discovered animal is about one centimeter. It is native to southern California and the Baja California region of Mexico.
Researcher Vazrik Nazari said, "I hope he will give utmost importance to the maintenance of such fragile ecosystems in the United States." Such ecosystems contain many species that have yet to be discovered. Researcher Vazrik Nazari commented that these should be protected for future generations.
Note that during President Obama's tenure, a total of 9 species of animals were named after him.
