Hobbyists especially many do a lot to make their wedding memorable. But this time what a couple from Kerala, India did, can be said in one word unbelievable. To make their wedding memorable, they got married at the bottom of the sea and stunned everyone. Indian groom and Slovakian bride Thiruvananthapuram recently tied the knot at the bottom of the Arabian Sea, not far from the Kovalam beach.
According to ABP Anand, they got married under the sea wearing a special type of wedding dress, accompanied by scuba gear. Under the water they exchange rings and garland each other made of oysters. They also observe some rules of underwater marriage. It takes about an hour to complete this wedding ceremony.
On the occasion of Republic Day, this special wedding ceremony took place underwater in the picturesque surroundings of Kovalam. Recently, this beach has become a very attractive destination for weddings. A small underwater podium is also built beforehand for the wedding. This couple completed their wedding ceremonies standing there.
It is to be noted that this is the first time in India that a couple got married under the sea. Although the bride was initially a bit scared to go under the water, everyone was happy after the whole ceremony went well. The couple's close family members and some friends were also present at the underwater wedding! It is reported that the couple will register their marriage after going to Maharashtra.
