Basis SoftExpo 2017 starts on February 1

The Dhaka Times Desk BASIS SoftExpo 2017, the country's largest private sector IT exhibition, will be held from February 1 to February 4.

Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services (BASIS) is organizing this 11th fair at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Agargaon of the capital with the slogan 'Future in Motion'.

A press conference was organized today (Saturday) at BASIS Auditorium on the occasion of organizing this fair. Under the chairmanship of BASIS President Mustafa Jabbar, BASIS Senior Vice President Russell T Ahmed, Vice President M Rashidul Hasan, BASIS Director and Convener of BASIS SoftExpo 2017 Syed Almas Kabir, BASIS Director and Platinum Sponsor Microsoft Bangladesh Limited Managing Director Sonia Bashir Kabir spoke on the occasion. Sohail RK Hussain, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Gold Sponsor City Bank Limited also spoke.

BASIS Vice President Farhana A Rahman, BASIS Director Uttam Kumar Pal, Riyad SA Hossain and other organizing committee members of BASIS SoftExpo 2017 were present.

BASIS President Mustafa Jabbar said, BASIS SoftExpo is the most effective place for the business expansion of our domestic IT companies. Due to various reasons, it was not possible to organize BASIS SoftExpo separately after 2012. BASIS SoftExpo will be organized every year from now on. He expressed his hope that this year's SoftExpo will be more successful than in the past.
