The story of Imam Sheikh, the van driver of Tungipara who carried Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in a van, received a huge response in the media. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina spoke to the common people of the village. And the prime minister spoke to the imam, the van driver who was carrying him. The Prime Minister inquired about the condition of his family. Despite being a common man, Imam was able to get very close to the Prime Minister by virtue of being a van driver.

Imam Sheikh told the media that Harun-ur-Rashid, the squadron leader of Birshrestha Matiur Rahman base of Jessore Cantonment of Air Force, went to Imam Sheikh's house in Tungipara Sardarpara village at around 11:30 a.m. on January 29 and handed over the job appointment letter to him. After that, he handed over 40,000 taka from the air force to the Imam's mother Shahanur Begum for the treatment of Imam Sheikh's sick father and for repairing the house. At this time several Air Force officers including Squadron Assistant Leader Delwar Hossain of Bir Shrestha Matiur Rahman Base were present. The Imam also said that the van carrying the Prime Minister was being taken to the museum.

It is known that Tungipara Upazila Chairman Gazi Golam Mostafa, Tungipara Press Club President BM Golam Kader signed the appointment letter of Imam Sheikh. However, it was not immediately known what position he has been appointed to.

After this process, around 12 noon, Imam Sheikh packed his bags and left for Jessore in an air force vehicle with a van.

Harun-ur-Rashid, squadron leader of Air Force's Jessore Cantonment's Birshrestha Matiur Rahman base, told the media, 'Imam has been given a job in the Air Force on the orders of higher authorities. His appointment letter has already been handed over. We are taking the van carrying the Prime Minister to Jessore. Later this van will be sent to the museum.'

Alhaj Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, religious affairs secretary of the central Awami League, representative of the prime minister's constituency, said, "After knowing the wishes of the imam, the most compassionate prime minister fulfilled it. The Prime Minister stands by this poor family. Gave Imam's father's treatment and house repair assistance.'

Imam's mother Shahanur Begum told the media, 'I did not expect that the Prime Minister would do everything for us besides giving my son a job. We will be forever grateful to the Prime Minister for everything he has done for us. He is working tirelessly to bring smiles to the faces of poor people like us. May Allah keep him engaged in such noble work for a long time.

Imam's primary school teacher Yunus Ali Mollah told the media, 'Imam's father is a mental patient. Due to lack of family, Imam left his studies and drove a van. His fortunes changed today after the Prime Minister boarded his van. The very kind Prime Minister gave him a job, took responsibility in their family. The villagers are very happy with this. Everyone is praying for Bangabandhu's daughter in such greatness.

It is to be noted that on January 27, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, after spending the night in Tungipara, took Imam's battery-powered van to visit Tungipara village in the morning. Sheikh Rehana's son Radwan Mujeeb Siddique Bobby, his wife Pepi Siddique, their daughter Leela Tuli Siddique and son Qayas Mujeeb Siddique were in the prime minister's van.
