People living in Hunza province of Gilgit-Baltistan in North Pakistan are considered to be the happiest according to Nirog people.
This is because they are a community that never gets sick. None of them had ever been diagnosed with cancer.
Among the Hunza women there are some who have given birth even at the age of 65. Hunjaras bathe regularly in cold water even in extreme cold. Even so, they are not usually affected by cold and fever.
In fact, what is the secret of Hunzad's healthy life? The Hunjaras say that they only eat vegetables that they grow in the valley. The Hunjaras cultivate jowar, millet, almonds themselves and bring them home. Moreover, they have to walk a lot every day for their living. It also helps to keep them healthy. Besides, Hunzad custom is to fast for 2 to 4 months every year before starting fruit cultivation. Doctors believe that this practice also benefits their body.
But how can a community be completely cancer-free? In fact, Hunzas eat a lot of fruits called apricots or khobani. Their daily diet will include cabbage. These gourds are rich in vitamin B-17. Doctors have said that this vitamin is especially helpful in preventing cancer.
Not only infirmity, Hunzas are also endowed with long life. Many of the Hunzas are said to have lived for over a hundred and fifty years. In 1984, a Hunza gentleman named Syed Abdul Bundu got off a plane at London Airport. Airport staff were shocked to see his passport. Because his birth year was written in the year 1832!
It is not known whether Abdul Bundu actually crossed over to London at the age of 152, but there is no doubt that Hunzarai is the healthiest person in the world. Everyone should remember these trips to have Nirog.
