The Dhaka Times Desk Gas prices have been increased again. Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has announced the decision to increase gas prices by an average of 22.7 percent in two phases.
Today (Thursday) at 4:30 pm, the price increase has been announced from the head office of the commission.
In the household sector, in the first phase, from March 1, one stove will be priced at Tk 750 and two stoves will be priced at Tk 800. In the second phase, from June 1, 900 taka for one stove and 950 taka for two stoves have been charged.
On the other hand, the price of CNG will be Tk 38 per cubic meter from March 1 and Tk 40 from June 1. Gas prices have been hiked for power, fertilizer industry and all categories of consumers.
It should be noted that currently in the household sector customers are paying Tk 600 for one stove and Tk 650 for two stoves.
