Today is the story of the world's first ice hotel!

The Dhaka Times Desk Anyone will be surprised to hear. Could the snow be the hotel again? Many people will have such questions. But the matter is real. This ice hotel is located in the village of Yukasjarvi in northern Sweden!

It is claimed to be the world's first ice hotel. The world's first and largest ice hotel is located in the village of Yukasjarvi in northern Sweden. This residential hotel is made of ice and snow. The temperature in this hotel room is minus five degrees Celsius!

Each of the 65 rooms in this hotel is designed differently every year. All but the bed-jazim and the bolga are made of snow or ice.

The hotel offers overnight stays from December to April. The rest of the time, however, a portion is open, but the room is kept cool by solar energy.

প্রতিবছর নভেম্বর মাসের শুরুতে প্রায় একশ’ জনের একটি দল হোটেলের এইসব অস্থায়ী ঘরগুলো তৈরির কাজ শুরু করে। ঘর তৈরিতে ব্যবহৃত হয় প্রায় ৩৫ হাজার টন বরফ এবং তুষার! প্রতি মৌসুমে প্রায় ১০০ জন ডিজাইনার ঘরগুলোর জন্য নকশার প্রস্তাব করে থাকেন।

এই আইস হোটেল তৈরির পরিকল্পনা শুরু হয়েছিলো ১৯৮৯ সালে। বরফশিল্পীরা সেই সময় একটি ‘ঈগলু’ অর্থাৎ এস্কিমোদের ঘর তৈরি করেছিলেন। যেটি পরে বার হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। পার্টি শেষ করার পর অনেকেই ওই ঈগলুতে ঘুমিয়ে পড়েছিলেন! সেই থেকে শুরু এই হোটেলের।

Staying at this special ice hotel will cost you 230 Euros for one night! Guests usually stay at the hotel for one night only.

সংবাদ মাধ্যমের খবরে বলা হয়েছে, ডিজাইনার আনা ওলুন্ডের নকশায় ওই হোটেলে একটি ঘর সাজানো হয়। তিনি বলেন, ”মানুষ যখন সুইডেনের কথা ভাবে তখন স্টকহোম ও আইস হোটেলের কথাও মনে করে। এখন অনেক পর্যটক এখানে আসছেন, থাকছেন, আবার কাজও করছেন। আমার মনে হয়, এটি একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ হোটেল!”

It should be noted that even if the outside temperature is 20 degrees Celsius, the temperature of this hotel room is kept at minus five degrees!
