Victory was achieved after 9 months of bloody war. Victory was achieved on 16 December 1971 with the surrender of the Pakistani forces. Today we are citizens of an independent country. In 1971, our independent sovereign state of Bangladesh was acquired in exchange of much blood. The country we are proud of now.
