According to media reports, the people of that area are facing a huge problem due to erosion of Kholpetua river in East Durgabati area of Vurulia Union of Satkhira. The embankment is being constructed there as an emergency foundation to prevent erosion. Local Member of Parliament SM Jaglul Haider went to supervise this construction work. While watching the construction of the dam, he himself fell down with the workers with baskets. Along with the workers, he lifted the soil on his head and took it to the river. It seems that he is a good worker!
This amazing incident happened in Shyamnagar Upazila of Satkhira. Yesterday (Sunday) morning, Member of Parliament Jaglul Haider worked with the worker for an hour. This time he chose lungi and sando genji as clothes. Again, like the workers, he had a towel tied around his waist. The piece of clay is lifted on the towel tied on the head like the workers.
Like other workers, Member of Parliament Jaglul Haider was bringing soil from far away and dumping it in the embankment - a scene that would naturally shock anyone. But the locals are no longer surprised by such a sight. This is because MP Jaglul has not done it for the first time. He has done this several times before. Like a worker, he mingled with the common people, worked with them and cried shoulder to shoulder, like a shining example!

Satkhira-4 Constituency Member of Parliament aide told a news media, 'I went to the river erosion area of my constituency. There I worked with the workers for an hour.'
Jaglul Haider also said, 'My constituency is actually located in Aila Durgat, surrounded by the Sundarbans, next to the Bay of Bengal. River breaks in different areas. Whenever there is a breakdown, that's where I run. I work with workers wearing lungi. By doing this the workers are more motivated in their work, and interest in their work also increases.
Member of Parliament Jaglul Haider also told the news media, 'I am doing this kind of work not only to encourage the workers, but also to create interest of public representatives to participate in developmental activities. This created a stir among the people. Again, I see that many union chairmen are also doing such work.
Jaglul Haider said, 'I still wear lungi and wear fatua to the village area. There I will talk to common people.'
Member of Parliament Jaglul Haider thinks, 'An MP is not just for living in an air-conditioned room or a car-house. They have to work with common people to build digital Bangladesh.'
