It is known that the Farhad Pasha Mosque in Bania Serb city of Bosnia was newly opened on April 7, 2016 in the presence of thousands of local Muslims and officials. This mosque is known as the historical mosque of Bosnia.
During the Crusades in Bosnia and Herzegovina, thousands of Muslims were killed by Serbian Christians. During this time, many Muslim mosques were destroyed by Christians, one of them. The Farhad Pasha historic mosque was also badly damaged by the Christian attack. Since then this mosque was abandoned.
After that, the Turkish government took the initiative of renovating and rebuilding this mosque. With the financial support of the Turkish government, the mosque regained a new life.
