The Dhaka Times Desk US President Donald Trump said that Russian President Vladimir Putin preferred Hillary Clinton, not him as president. Trump said this in an interview given to the Christian Broadcasting Network last Wednesday.
After the US presidential election, there were allegations that Russia interfered in Trump's election. Although Trump denied this claim, the US intelligence agencies started investigating it.
In that interview, Trump also said that Russian President Vladimir Putin never wanted to see him as president.
Arguing about this, he said, 'There are countless things that I do that are completely against his (Putin's) needs. So I guess he never liked Trump, or could.
Trump said, 'Where I want massive energy - we're opening coal mines, extracting natural gas, he probably hates them. But no one mentions these things.'
Regarding the meeting of his eldest son with the Russian lawyer, Trump said that he learned about it only a few days ago. US President Donald Trump has also claimed that the son did not do any wrong or injustice after meeting with that lawyer.
