Also known as Masjid al-Kufah (Arabic: مسجد الكوفة المعظم), or Masjid al-Azm. It is one of the oldest mosques in the world located in Kufa, Iraq. Built in the 7th century, this mosque also contains the tombs of Hussein ibn Ali's cousin Muslim ibn Aqeel, sister Hani ibn Urwa and the brave warrior Mukhtar al-Saqafi.
Currently, the area of this mosque building is about 11,000 meters. This mosque has nine rooms. It has 4 minarets and 5 gates. This very beautiful mosque carries many memories of the history of Islam.
