The Dhaka Times Desk Actress Poppy is unhappy to cut several scenes of the film 'Sonabandhu'! In a response to the media, they could have done this without me.
'Sonabandhu' was released this Eid. However, actress Popi complained about this film after its release. Apart from actress Poppy, the film 'Sonabandhu' also stars Parimony and DA Taib.
In this regard, Poppy said, 'The type of script given to me before acting in the film 'Sonabandhu' and according to which I shot, there is not much on the screen now. A lot of cuts have been made. Most of my shooting parts are thrown away. It's quite humiliating for me.' Poppy says that the screenplay and story that he acted in, he could not match much of it on screen.
Poppy also said, 'My best wishes for the film Sonabandhu. This is my acting film. The film was released on Eid. I saw the film before Eid. That's when he got upset. He could not have done this to me. What was the need to shoot so hard if the scene is not kept? I am almost sure, those who go to the theaters to see me, will be disappointed. It was not desirable at all.'
When asked why he didn't protest before the release, Poppy said, 'I didn't want it to be debated beforehand. Even if my character is cut down in the film, I always want the audience to see the film. Maybe the makers will find peace in this.'
