The Dhaka Times Desk Men are more adept at work, especially work outside the home. But this time there is such information that it is said that women are more efficient than men as drivers!
Women as drivers are often thought of as traditionally unskilled. But a new study has found that women have a more effective role than men behind the wheel. The Daily Mail reported that such information has emerged from the research of Norwegian scientists.
Studies have shown that younger drivers, regular drivers, extroverts or neurotic drivers are more likely to be distracted or angry while driving. It has been reported that distraction or anger is responsible for 8 percent of all car accidents.
Older women are more likely to control distractions while driving. This research shows that you should be more focused on the current path.
Through this study, scientists are trying to see how individual characteristics like age, gender, personality affect driver distraction, etc.
Ole Jonasson, a researcher at the Institute of Transport Economics, said in a study that distraction plays a 12 percent role in car accidents in different contexts and countries.
This study was conducted in two phases. The first phase consisted of 1,100 Norwegian high school students, 208 of whom received driving licenses. In the second phase, 414 people were selected from the general population.
The study looked at the degree to which the participants were distracted while driving and the type of distraction. Along with that, how was their behavior at that time also seen in that study.
All in all, their level of confusion was very low. Trivia including radio is a very common cause of their distraction. Besides, age and gender were the reasons for confusion in some cases.
