The Dhaka Times Desk Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh has called for an 'intifada' in Palestine to protest the US recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The US recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital has sparked renewed global protests. The Palestinian resistance organization Hamas has called for an intifada or mass uprising to protest this decision.

This announcement was made yesterday (Thursday) by the head of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, from the Gaza Strip in Palestine. This Hamas leader said, we should call for an intifada against the Zionist enemies.

Ismail Haniya also criticized US President Donald Trump for recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Ismail Hania said that Donald Trump's decision is a declaration of war against Palestine.

It should be noted that US President Donald Trump declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel in a speech given at the White House on Wednesday Washington time.

He also ordered the US embassy to be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem soon. It may take 6 months to a year.

However, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has warned that such a decision will endanger the regional stability of the Middle East and pose a serious danger to the whole world.
