The Dhaka Times Desk The Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas sees US President Donald Trump's threat to freeze aid as cheap political pressure.
Fawzi Barhoum, a spokesman for the Palestinian Islamist resistance movement Hamas, said that US President Donald Trump's threat to cut off financial aid to the Palestinian Authority from the United Nations and the Works Agency for Palestine Refugees, or UNRWA, is nothing more than 'cheap political pressure'. Barhum said in a statement.
Barhoum said, "Through this threat by Trump, the barbaric and immoral position of the Americans on the question of the Palestinians' just rights has been exposed." He emphasized that unity among various Palestinian political organizations is essential to counter Trump's position on the Palestinian issue. He also called on the Arab and Muslim world and the international community to support them in protecting the rights of the Palestinians.
Notably, in a recent Twitter message, Trump said, "Not only Pakistan, to whom we give billions of dollars for unnecessary reasons, there are many other countries like this. For example, we give hundreds of millions of dollars to Palestine every year, but receive no recognition or recognition. They don't even want to compromise on something that has been hanging for a long time.”
