Mustafa Jabbar said that selling data packages to customers by buying bandwidth at wholesale prices will no longer work. The newly appointed Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and ICT Ministry, Mustafa Jabbar, told reporters on Wednesday afternoon. The minister also said that the mobile operators have to sell the bandwidth to the customer at the fixed price.
After the reception organized by BASIS in the capital, the Minister further said that determining the real price of the Internet and ensuring the maximum speed will be my first task. For this purpose the maximum rate will be fixed for internet like voice calls.
He also said to work to reduce the dominance of foreign companies in the domestic market. Mustafa Jabbar said that priority will be given to domestic companies in the use of software, "I can't imagine that there is a problem like cancer in the telecom division, and no initiative has been taken to solve it."
