Looking at the picture, no one can understand that it is Patti Sapta Pitha. Although it can be made throughout the year. Still it can be called a winter cake.

These pies are fun to eat in winter. When winter comes, the people of village-Bangla get busy making various kinds of pithas. It is an annual custom to invite daughter-in-law and relatives by making pitha. Therefore, when winter comes, the house-to-house cooking of pitha-puli falls.
