According to a report of Daily Mail, a Japanese company is going to build the tallest wooden building in the world. Sumitomo Forestry, an architect company of the country, has announced the construction of this building on the occasion of its 350th anniversary in 2041. The company has proposed to build a 350-meter high 70-story building in Tokyo, the capital of Japan.
Sumitomo Forestry told the media that the 70-story building, called the W350 project, will use only 10 percent steel. About 180,000 cubic meters of local wood will be used for the rest. It is possible to build about 18 thousand houses with this wood!
This building built in Tokyo will have 8 thousand rooms. Each floor balcony will also have trees and shrubs. The manufacturing company said that this will be done to bring the touch of green nature.
Because Japan is an earthquake-prone country. Earthquakes occur here almost throughout the year. So some tubular steel will be used inside the wood to control the vibration. The pillars will also be of steel. The building will be built on a bent tube structure, so that it can withstand Japan's normal earthquakes.
