A clock is being developed in the United States that will run for 10,000 years without human intervention. The watch is being manufactured in a factory owned by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos located in a desert in Texas, USA.

The Long Now Foundation, an American non-profit organization, took the initiative to create this millennial watch. This watch is supposed to symbolize the long-term planning of the people.

It is known that the founder of the e-commerce company Amazon, Jeff Bezos himself has donated 42 million US dollars to this watch making project. Also, money is being collected from the rich people of the world to build the watch.

According to a BBC report, one of the 3 hands of this clock will move once a year, another hand will move once every 100 years and another hand will move only once every 1,000 years. The clock will run with the Earth's thermal cycle. It will use steel, titanium and special types of ceramics.

It is not yet known for sure when the watch will be finished. However, efforts will be made to open it for visitors soon, Long Now Foundation said.

It is known that a replica of this watch was made in 1999. It is currently on display at the Science Museum in London.
