He never spent time in the snow. Never thought that he would have to spend so much time in the snow. When he returned after 403 days, he had unknowingly set a world record. She is Mangala Mani. She is the first woman scientist of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO).

November 2016. A team of 23 members left from ISRO to go to Antarctica. Mangala Mani, a 56-year-old woman, was the only female member of the group. The team returned to the country after completing research work in Antarctica in December last year.

Mangala said he spent more than a year in Antarctica on an environmental mission. Their mission is to carry out research on the environment there.

In an exclusive interview given to the Times of India recently, Mani said, 'Our mission was very challenging. Being a woman, the challenge was even greater. The reason is that men have much more physical capacity than women.

He also said that the environment there is very dry. Whenever we went outside the Climate Control Research Center, we had to be very careful. How did you manage to spend so many days in minus 90 degrees Celsius? This woman scientist also told about that preparation in her own words. After the schedule of the mission was fixed, the training to increase the physical capacity also started. The physical training lasted for several weeks.

Mani also said that they only used packaged food while spending so many days in Antarctica.
