A record before the iPad hit the market

Dhaka Times Desk Apple's new iPad has arrived on the market on March 16. However, before coming to the market, Apple said that their new iPad has set a pre-order record.

According to CanAccord Genuity analysts, Apple is likely to sell 6.56 crore iPads this year in addition to receiving a record number of pre-orders. Analyst T Michael Walkley and Matthew Ramsey said they expect iPad sales to rise to 96 million units by 2013. Analysts also opined that rival companies will not be able to gain much advantage in the next one-and-a-half years due to the dominance of iPad.
