The 7th South Asian International Film Festival 2018 is about to begin in Toronto, Canada. This festival will continue from May 10th to 21st. In this festival, Bengali films from Bangladesh and Kolkata will spread light along with films from different regions of South Asia.
Anwar Azad, Director of Bengali Affairs of the International Film Festival of South Asia confirmed to the media that two films from Bangladesh have been nominated for exhibition at the festival so far.
He said that the South Asian International Film Festival will become one of the biggest film festivals in Asia. Where there are more than 150 films in the line-up. Here are two films selected from Bangladesh. One is director Mustafa Sarayar Farooqui's latest film 'Dub' and the other is director Arun Chowdhury's first film 'Alta Banu'.
Several films from Kolkata will also be screened at the festival. Among them, Arindam Sheel's 'Abar Shabar', Atanu Ghosh's 'Mayurakshi', Kaushik Ganguly's 'Drishtikon' and Dhruv Banerjee's 'Gupta Dain'.
