This chicken is no ordinary chicken. This dragon chicken is completely different from any other chicken due to its unique combination of meat and appearance. A dragon spends years preparing the hen. Breeds of chickens that need to be raised by washing their feet!
The fact seems unbelievable, but it is true, each of these fat-looking chickens is sold at a price of more than 2 thousand dollars, which is about 1 lakh 80 thousand taka in Bangladeshi taka! Dong Tao chicken can be found in certain villages in Hanoi, Vietnam. Most of those who do this particular chicken farm have built this farm on family basis. Take for example - Jiang Tuang Vu. He built this chicken farm from his parents. Jiang Tuang Vu has been taking care of these chickens for about 20 years.
Jiang Tuang Vu said about these chickens, I have been involved in raising these chickens since I was very young. I feel really lucky than others to work at Dragon Chicken Farm. One of the reasons to feel lucky is that Dong Tao chicken farms have been farmed in my father's and mother's family for a long time, and they have gained a lot of popularity in this sector.
He also said about the firm, I have been trying to make the firm bigger. There was a time when the number of Dong Tao chickens was about 2 to 3 thousand. However, even in this small number of chickens, because there are individual characteristics, this chicken could not be seen anywhere else except in Vietnam.
The village is called Dong Tao Village after the Dong Tao chicken. Most of these chicken farms are located in this village. However, the origin of the dragon chicken is still unknown. Dragon chickens have been cultivated in the region for over 100 years. Due to their thick and strong legs, these special chickens are used in the game of 'cock fighting'.
But apart from the issue of fighting, another special quality of these chickens is their delicious meat. Although it was used for fighting in earlier days, now the special meat value of this chicken has increased. This dragon chicken is eaten during special festivals (such as New Year) in Vietnam for its special meat.
Jiang Dong Tao said about chicken meat, this chicken meat is darker than other chicken meat. It looks a lot like beef. No other type of chicken in Vietnam is like this. From about 500 chickens, 15 chickens are sold for millions of rupees.
Why is the price of this chicken so high? In response to this question, Jiang said, the main characteristics of these chickens are their legs and body. There are other factors that are not necessary for any other chicken. They are regularly washed their feet and given a separate diet. At certain times of the day, they have to apply sun care. The best dragon chicken i.e. chicken of this grade has red legs. These dragon chickens have very large legs and a physical posture of their own.
