The Dhaka Times Desk Want to explore the field of automated software development, which will reflect thoughts without human touch. Is this even possible? Chanchal Roy, a Bangladeshi computer scientist who spread light in Canada, has that determination in his face.
Bangladeshi computer scientist Chanchal Roy said, I don't know how successful I will be. But I have such a dream.
Chanchal Roy, a scientist of Bangladeshi origin, teaches at the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada.
Chanchal Ray's job is to ensure the security of computer software. He created Nycad, a program for catching software bugs (errors) and clones (similar, but not original). Which is also very popular with computer programmers or software developers. He created this program or tool in 2008. NYCAD has cited 550 research papers worldwide. Nycad has been downloaded more than 2500 times.
Apart from this, he created another program called Crockage to solve programming problems. It is also published on the US-based StackOverflow site, the largest website for solving programming problems. Through this, programming problems can be solved easily. Popular technology websites Tech Republic, SD Times, ACM Tech News and iProgram Info have reported on them.
Chanchal Roy also said, I have been working mainly on software maintenance and evaluation for more than a century. My main research areas are software clone detection and analysis, bug prevention, testing, large scale data management and analysis etc. Our program makes software maintenance faster and easier by detecting clones almost accurately. Recently, we have been able to identify software clones of various programming languages on a much faster scale, which has undoubtedly added a new dimension to research. Microsoft is already using our tool.
Based on his extensive research, he was selected as one of Canada's top three young researchers in computer science in 2018. CS-CAN/INFO-CAN, Canada's highest organization in computer science, has also awarded him the Outstanding Young Computer Science Researcher Award of 2019. In 2018, he received the New Researcher and New Scientist Award from the University of Saskatchewan. In 2018 Chanchal Roy's work was recognized by two conferences of 'IEEE'. He was also awarded the Ten Year Most Influence Paper (MIP) award at a conference held in Gothenburg, Sweden. He received this recognition based on 10 years of work as a researcher. He got it for Nycad. The news of Chanchal Roy's achievement has also been published in the Canadian media.
Chanchal Roy grew up in Jadavpur village of Rangpur Sadar. His father was a police education officer. He is the third of four brothers. Then passed SSC from Shyampur High School and HSC from Carmichael College. His higher education began at Khulna University. Admitted in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. After graduation, he also taught in Khulna University for three years. Then went to Germany. He received his master's degree from Achen University of Technology. Then he did his PhD at Queen's University in Canada. Joined the University of Saskatchewan before completing his Ph.D. His wife Banani Roy also taught in that university. The couple has two daughters.
Things to do to prevent Corona virus
# stay at home all the time.
# Follow the rules and use mask when going out for emergency.
# three-layer surgical mask can be washed if desired.
# wash clothes after coming home from outside. Or hang it without shaking for at least four hours.
# Wash hands thoroughly (for at least 20 seconds) with soap or liquid before coming outside.
# plastic PPE or eyes, mouth, head after single use
Of course it can be washed thoroughly with detergent and dried.
# Wear PPE made of cloth or clean as described.
# Use a head cap that completely covers the hair.
# Those who have sneeze cough should follow all the rules promulgated by the government. Also, wash hands as directed before and after handling food items, keys, switches, mice, remote controls, mobiles, watches, computer desks, TVs, etc. and after using the bathroom. Those who have dry hands use Moisture after washing their hands. Soap or hand liquid can be used. Why can this virus remain in the crackle (cracked part) of dry hands? Avoid using highly alkaline soaps or detergents.
