'Rickshaw Girl' to release later this year [Trailer]

The Dhaka Times Desk A Bangladesh-US joint production and directed by Amitabh Reza, the full-length film 'Rickshaw Girl' is likely to release later this year. The trailer of the film has already been released.

Producer Amitabh Reza Chowdhury created a stir by making 'Ayanabji'. Almost 5 years have passed since then. Now coming his second full length film 'Rickshaw Girl'.

The trailer of 'Rickshaw Girl' was released on the official website and social media last week. The 192 minute trailer gives glimpses of a great story. Along with the beautiful visuals, the colors will impress any movie lover.

'Rickshaw Girl' is based on the story of Shilpimana woman Naima. At least the trailer suggests so. As seen in the 2 minute trailer, painting is one of Naima's favorite subjects. But everything changes completely when his father, the sole breadwinner in a poor family, suddenly falls ill one day. Since there is no money for painting pictures, Naima is forced to take a rickshaw on the street. Due to which he has to face various complications.

Navera Rahman played the main character Naima in this film. He also has a bright presence throughout the trailer. Along with that Momena Chowdhury was seen as her mother and Naresh Bhuiya as her father. Actor Siam also has a cameo appearance.

The English dubbed trailer was shared on social media by American producer Eric J Adams. He is also the producer of 'Rickshaw Girl'. Sharing the trailer, he said that this is the first full-length film co-produced by America and Bangladesh. Which the audience will see in the fall of this year.
